Gym Flooring for Home Gyms, Garages, and Commercial Spaces Across Canada

Good gym flooring is the foundation everything else in your gym sits on. Most people skip it or cheap out — and end up pulling it all up a year later when the foam compresses, the edges curl, and the whole thing starts to smell. Our Canadian-made rubber gym flooring is different. It stays flat, stays dense, and stays looking good no matter how many barbells you drop on it or how many hours of training happen on top of it.

In this collection you'll find everything from rubber floor rolls for large seamless coverage to interlocking rubber tiles for fast DIY installs, multi-use mats for equipment zones and stretching areas, and our legendary stall mats for the heaviest lifting environments in Canada.

Some flooring options snap together without any glue or tools — perfect if you want a great-looking gym floor done in a single afternoon. Others give you a seamless, permanent finish across a large commercial or garage space. If you're tight on budget, a few well-placed stall mats in your heaviest-use zones is a smart way to protect your floor without covering every square foot on day one.

From rubber floor tiles for modular home gym setups to heavy-duty commercial rubber flooring for fitness centres and CrossFit boxes, there's an option here to protect your space and keep your training on solid ground. Whether you're just starting your home gym build or upgrading an existing setup, we've got the best Canadian-made gym flooring to help you train hard and lift safe.

Choosing the Right Gym Flooring Is Easy

Think about how you train and how much space you need to cover. Dropping heavy barbells on the regular? Stall mats or thick rubber rolls are your answer — dense, indestructible, and built for exactly that. Setting up a full garage or basement floor? Interlocking tiles are the fastest DIY install with no glue and no tools needed. Need something versatile for under equipment, a stretching zone, or across a cardio area? Multi-use mats cover all of it.

Whether it's your first gym floor or an upgrade from the foam puzzle mats that didn't last, this collection makes it easy to find gym flooring for your Canadian home gym, garage, or commercial space that fits your budget and handles everything you put it through.

Frequently asked questions

Is your gym flooring really made in Canada?
Yes. Every product in our gym flooring lineup is manufactured in Canada. We don't import generic rubber flooring and rebrand it. Our products are made here, which means consistent quality, faster shipping to Canadian customers, no import duties, and flooring that's designed to hold up in Canadian climate conditions year-round.

How much gym flooring do I need?
Measure your space in feet and multiply length by width to get your square footage. Add 5 to 10 percent for cutting waste and edge cuts. For most home gyms, we recommend flooring the entire space rather than just the area under your equipment — it looks better, protects your whole floor, and gives you the flexibility to move things around as your gym grows.

Do I need glue or adhesive to install gym flooring?
For interlocking tiles, no — they lock together without any adhesive. For standard rubber tiles, adhesive is optional for home gym use; the weight of the tiles keeps them in place in most cases. For rubber rolls in commercial applications, a perimeter adhesive is sometimes recommended to prevent edge lifting in high-traffic zones. Stall mats stay put entirely on their own weight.

How do I clean rubber gym flooring?
For regular maintenance, sweep or vacuum to remove dust and chalk, then damp-mop with warm water and a small amount of mild dish soap. Avoid harsh chemical cleaners, bleach, and oil-based products — they can break down the rubber over time. A diluted white vinegar solution works well for a deeper clean. Let the floor dry fully before training.

Will rubber gym flooring smell?
New rubber flooring has a natural smell that fades within a few days to a couple of weeks. Because our flooring is made in Canada and properly vulcanized, the off-gassing period is shorter than with many cheaper imported alternatives. Ventilating your space during the first few days — opening a window or running a fan — speeds up the process significantly.

Can I use gym flooring over carpet?
We don't recommend it for heavy equipment. Carpet creates an unstable, compressible base that causes equipment to wobble and accelerates wear on your flooring over time. For best results, install rubber gym flooring directly on concrete or a solid hardwood subfloor. If you must go over carpet, stall mats are the most stable option due to their weight and density.

How long will rubber gym flooring last?
Our Canadian-made rubber gym flooring is built to last 10 to 20 years under normal gym use. Lifespan depends on traffic volume, equipment weight, and how often heavy loads are dropped. Stall mats and high-density rolls have the longest lifespan. Thinner tiles in heavy free weight areas will show wear faster — which is why we recommend going to 3/4 inch thickness in those zones.

Do you ship gym flooring across Canada?
Yes — we ship to all Canadian provinces and territories. Because we manufacture and warehouse in Canada, shipping times are significantly faster than ordering from overseas suppliers. Large commercial orders can be arranged with freight shipping for better per-unit pricing. Contact us for a quote on large-volume orders.

What is the difference between stall mats and regular rubber gym tiles?
The main differences are density and thickness. Stall mats are 3/4 inch thick and made from a very dense, heavy-duty rubber compound that is nearly indestructible under free weight use. Standard rubber gym tiles are typically thinner and slightly less dense — excellent for most gym applications but not as well suited for repeated heavy barbell drops. If you do powerlifting, Olympic lifting, or any training where barbells regularly hit the floor, stall mats are the right choice for your lifting area.

Can gym flooring be cut to fit my space?
Yes. All of our rubber flooring products can be cut using a standard utility knife and a straight edge. Score the surface with the knife, then bend the mat away from the cut — it snaps cleanly along the score line. For rolls, a sharp utility knife and a metal straight edge give you the cleanest cuts. Measure twice, cut once.
